Vienna 18 Months

Veena Bug turned 18 months on the 14th. Can I just say how much we love our little Vienna??  She is hilarious and such a people lover.  She climbs as well as a 4 year old and she loves to be outside. She is our early bird every morning. She wants her shoes, coat, and hat on as soon as she's dressed, so she can be ready to go outside at a moments notice (even when it's warm). She loves parks (tube slides and swings are favorite), library story time, walking backwards without looking, snuggles, chickens, ducks, bath time, and nursery. She hates grocery shopping, big dogs, and dirty hands.

She eats like a champ- many times finishing her plate, Cambry's plate, and helps out with mom or dad's plate. I haven't even had to hide vegetables in the food yet with her! When she's exploring outside she likes carrying a rock in one hand and holding my index finger with her other hand.

Her favorite person is Cambry. Vienna's always trying to keep up with her. They play so well together, and have giggle fits that fill our house and car with so much pure love.  When Cambry is upset, often times Vienna will go find one or two of Cambry's comfort items to give her. When Vienna's upset, she wants to be held and snuggled with a handful of mom's hair to rub against her cheek.

She loves seeing and taking pictures of herself. She giggles and calls herself "dada". She loves finding her belly button, eyes, nose, ears, hair, and cheeks. She loves the hokey pokey, ring around the rosy, popcorn popping, and itsy bitsy spider.

Vienna loves wearing sunglasses, not to block the sun, but purely for fashion reasons.

When daddy leaves, and periodically throughout the day, V will pucker up and come at the intended person from 15 feet away making the "mmmmm" sound, like she's winding up for the kiss. She is so adorable. We love you dearly Vienna!

Pi (π) Day

on March 14th, (3.14) we had a bunch of friends over to celebrate Pi Day- by eating pie naturally. It was delicious!!

Pearsons and Roberts

The Meyers and Andersens

Jen, me, Elise, Emily

Cambry wasn't sure about sharing her chair with the adorable Jack Jack

All the guys brought it in for a little Pi fun and figured out how to derive Pi by dropping a toothpick on a paper that had 3 lines in it. Thankfully we got this picture (even if it's blury), I can't make this stuff up.They had their calculators out and everything.

Meanwhile the women did what we do best: gab. It was a definite success.

Museum of Science

"Hey mommy, can you see me in this grass with this bug? I'm just right here." I love this girl

Comparing claws with her good buddy T-Rex

Cambry is politely testing out her limits lately (Can I throw your phone away? Can I make a mess on your bed? Can I hit you Daddy? etc.). Here she is saying, "Can I stick my hand in that mouth?" She keeps us laughing.

Vienna LOVED spinning this little globe around.

"Mommy, let's both say cheese."

This month is Titanic month for some reason at the museum.  They have the replica of the front of the ship, and the green screen that they used on the movie- who knew that they didn't actually film on a replicated ship??

Cambry doing "flips"-basically falling backwards off the top of the couch onto the pillows.

This child has her mother's genes for sure.  She wants to be wrapped up in a blanket even when it's 70 degrees outside.

Camera Clean-up

Museum of Life and Science... I had about 3 ounces of energy this day, so when they crawled under the little display fence and climbed into this car, I took a pic instead of wrestling them out.

Lately my girls have become proficient touch screen button mashers, so I don't think they saw too much more than these screens at every exhibit.

We went into the submarine simulator. Cambry thought it was great until the surround sound music and tutorial turned on.  She said to me through tears, "We need to go mommy.  This is a really really scary place!"

Back yard fun

V loves her little purse. She carries it (and leaves it) everywhere.

Cambers put these on their heads and said, "Hey look! We're wearing our swim suits." She is also really good at scrubbing Veena bug clean.

This girl is obsessed with hats. Cereal boxes will do when hats are not available.

Cambry loves being in her "cage". She pulls a few books in there and has a great time, until the little sister knocks it down.

Happy Birthday, Joslyn!

Joslyn is such a good mom to the little ones. She has so many gifts and talents that would have contributed to a very successful career, but she chose to apply them to raising our kids. We (the kids and I) are so lucky! She gives so much to us and those around her. At the end of each day, she has literally given everything to the kids and me. She makes us so happy. Life is so great with her!

For her birthday, Joslyn went to a relief society conference. While she was gone the kids and I got things ready to party.

Vienna worked on decorating the windows by slobbering all over the blinds cord. (Side Note: She has like 6 teeth coming and apparently running the blinds cord over her gums helps)

Cambry was all over wrapping up presents. She was so into it that after all the presents were wrapped she kept finding things around the house to wrap up and give to mommy.

It was beautiful weather outside. So we all played outside for the afternoon. Here's Cambry waiting to catch Vienna at the bottom of the slide.

You are about to witnessing two amazing achievements. 1. The swing set actually supported my weight. 2. I fit through that tiny opening and on the slide. I had to show off for the wifey on her birthday.

So we've have become really bad at taking pictures. This is all we got of the birthday celebration. 4 candles stuck in the apple crisp. The girls were more interested in eating the candles than the apple crisp. But, after they tried both, they happily ate their plate of apple crisp.
