February Fast Forward

Here's February in a flash:
Baking bread with the girls. They love adding ingredients to the mixer and forming the dough into the loaf pans.

I had a girls' night, one night and Devin and the littles had a movie night. They sure do love their daddy!

I had so much fun with these ladies talking about our mission and catching up on the last decade. We talked and laughed until after 1 am, which is such a foreign concept to me now!

Valentines dinner was delicious- my first time making salmon... Why have I never made salmon before!?

Devin's FHE tower of Babel... then C and V wanted their bedtime story on top of it too.

Devin and the girls always play together after dinner, while I clean up. This night they made a "pillow pocket" and jumped off the stairs into all the downstairs pillows from the couch and their beds (in their princess get ups of course).

Cambry took this pic of Myla and said, "Myla is so funny jumping in there. Just look at her." We're all pretty smitten by Myla and think most things she does are the cutest/funniest.

These girls collected all these random objects together and brought them to the front lawn. They climbed in their bins and were as happy as can be for an hour. Being a kid is so awesome.

We had a little spring fever on a not so warm day. We had a wonderful time at the park regardless.

I phased the girls out of naps so we could all keep our sanity in the evenings. But lots of days we work and play so hard that the girls need little cat naps here and there.

wagon rides around the neighborhood are a favorite activity for the girls after lunch, and they all 3 fit!

We were playing princess something or other, when Cambry took a toy from Vienna. V quickly marched up the stairs, and was gone for a minute. Suddenly she appeared at the top of the stairs clutching this little happy/sad face puppet she got in nursery and she yells, "ME. SAD." Cambry thinks for a minute then gave her toy back and instructed Vienna to look in the little mirror and see if her happy face looks like the picture. I had tears streaming down my face I was laughing so hard. Being a mom is so great.

Princesses at the Library

In February the Holladay Library had a mini Disney celebration with characters and activities, and these girls were so excited to meet the princesses (I guess we don't need to go to Disneyland now?). They both wanted to wear their "princess dresses" that they just got from Grandma Beck for Valentines Day.

Vienna walked right up to these princesses and sat down on sleeping beauty's lap, like she was her favorite aunt or something. Cambry was so excited, she even spoke to them. OUT LOUD. So they could hear her!

Next they got to swing from light sabers around with some Jedi masters. I don't think they have ever heard of Star Wars.

This Jedi was so great with Vienna, she wasn't really sure what she was supposed to do with this sword. What can you expect when you hang out with girls all the time?!

Chewy completely made my day!

The girls got to do science experiments, search for treasure with a pirate, match the rocks, and other fun activities that I didn't take pictures of.

look at these dears! Myla was happy to be along for the ride- her little head darting from side to side, trying to explore every inch of the party with her eyes.
