Friday night Devin announced that he had a family surprise for us Saturday morning. Yay for surprises! So we got in the car Saturday and I realized this must be what kids feel like- no idea where you're going, how long you'll be in the car, and if there will be any cool rocks to pick up once you get there... oh wait that one's just Cambry.
Eno River was our destination- so amazing to be in nature! this place was INCREDIBLE!
I'm so grateful that our girls love the outdoors. It made it so much more enjoyable to hear their little giggles and excited noises along the trail
"Wooooaaaaaaahhh! Tree tall tall tall"
How is it possible that she trips on pavement, but completely mastered a root infested trail? Love my little off roader.
Apparently these are miracle stairs. One second your child only has one arm, the next- boom- 2.
Wait are we in Costa Rica?? No still in NC. Such a cool bridge- so scary and wobbly in the middle.
Cambry handled it just fine though and chanted "boing, boing" as she hopped across.
Naturally, we collected handfuls of rocks to throw into the water off the bridge.
We started off with a little friendly toe splashing...
... Then a little wading...
And concluded with a little baby skinny dipping. Good times in nature.
