Church Museum Take 2

Jess and I took our girls to the Church History museum and had a great time. We took TRAX and the girls had a great time on the train again. I didn't take too many pics of the outing, but here are the few we got.

Vienna was fascinated with this bike wheel. It had little balls in the spokes, so when she spun it, it made a fun noise as the balls bounced around in there.

Cambry loved being the DJ to primary songs at this station. She could pic a song and turn up and down the volume on different native american instruments. I played with this for a couple minutes myself. It was pretty entertaining.

Vienna made an elaborate dinner for Rylee and the missionaries.

After Rylee got all the food/dishes onto the floor she could reach, and Vienna got every dish and all the food out of the cupboards, they were worn out, and it was time to clean up and go home. 

November Catch Up

November was a great month for us. Here are a few snips of it. We went to Brick Oven to celebrate Devin's mom's Birthday. Derek works there as a waiter, and this was the best pic I could get of him.

It was great to catch up with Neal and McKall, and Myla got some snuggles from them as well.

The waiters had Grandma Rappleye stand on a chair as they sang Happy Birthday (Derek on the very left).

Myla all tuckered out in her wonderful swing. Seriously, what did people do before these were invented?! She loves this so much.

2 month shots. She was extra snuggly and sleepy that day. Aren't babies supposed to be cranky and inconsolable on shot days?! What a gem she is.

Myla started smiling at 6 weeks old, and is so quick to smile at anyone that will smile at her.

Cambry made this cool tower, but didn't want her picture taken with it. Vienna gladly stepped up.

The indoor creativity to entertain ourselves has begun. Here the girls are in the cave Devin built. I think one of us builds a fort like structure on a daily basis.

One morning we had a percussion session. The girls got out a can of food and drummed on it while me and Myla danced, per Cambry's request.

We also made maracas and they shook those as we listened to the Tangled soundtrack. Cambry got really into it during the song "I See the Light".  We listened to it 3 or 4 times before she got her fill. 

Despite appearances, Devin is reading a bedtime story to the girls (not sleeping). He puts both of them to bed almost every night. I'm rarely allowed to participate in the bedtime routine with these 2 daddy's girls. If I try to help, they both say, "No. Daddy," meaning- I don't want you to help me, I want daddy to. He's so kind and patient and fun with them, I don't blame them.

Cambry drew this picture of the sun and requested her picture taken with it. I love seeing how proud she is of her art work. She's loves to draw right now and its so fun to see all the things she decides to draw. (excuse the mess in the background. This is one thing I'm trying hard to let go of. This transition from 2 to 3 kids I have less time than I used to, and for a few days I tried really hard to keep my house really clean. Then I realized I'm barely spending time with Cambry and Vienna because I'm cleaning so much. So I'm trying to re-prioritize, and we're all a lot happier (and messier). I'm constantly reminding myself the quote President Monson said a few years ago- "Never let a problem to be solved become more important person to be loved."

Happy Myla in her warm fuzzy fleece. I love looking into her eyes. She trusts me 100%, even when I'm sucking buggers out of her nose. Kids are the best.

Frequently Vienna will stop what she's doing and come give Myla a kiss, hold her hand, try to hold her, or just look at her. She adores her so much, it melts my heart.

Myla has started making dreads in the back of her hair. I had to cut 6 of them out this time- I think you can only see a couple. She's also working on a sweet mullet. Babies have the goofiest hair.

The Zoo with Family

The day before Thanksgiving, I took the girls to the zoo with Jess and the Beck.

The giraffes were pretty great, and Vienna kept trying to show the giraffe that she was its biggest fan, by wearing its pattern on her legs.

Cambry sure did love the polar bear statue. She stayed with this guy longer than any of the animals. 

Camber assigned seats for Vienna and Rylee, and adamantly worked to have them stay in their places, which was like trying to herd wild horses.

Cambry really couldn't get over the size of this turtle. I mean its like 10 feet long!! She had to go out and get Grandma Beck who was watching the strollers and bring her back in to show her.

Our Girls (6 new posts)

We have so much sisterly love going on right now in our home, I feel like I have to document it all the time to remind them when they're teenagers how much they loved each other.

Vienna shared some of her favorite toys with Myla and pulled her around in her wagon.

At nap time, I put all the girls on Vienna's bed (per C and V's requests), put a blanket over them and sing to them. They usually request either "Teach Me to Walk in the Light" or "A Child's Prayer". Usually C and V just giggle the whole time. It's one of my favorite times of the day.

Veena loves sitting on Daddy's lap, and holding Myla... both at once perfect... Sorry Myla. (sidenote: For the past month, Devin is obsessed with that silly puddy in his hand! I think its a coping mechanism from all the estrogen in the air).

We just inherited this awesome wagon from my Aunt Rose. What a blessing! It is an absolute perfect way to cruise the neighborhood. It even has big offroad tires on is if we ever need to get extra crazy. These girls love rolling in style. We even rolled up to church today in it much to their delight.

First Snow

Monday the 4th we woke up to snow falling! The girls were ridiculously excited about it, and wanted to go out immediately. After Devin coaxed them into warm clothes, they went out to play

Devin is so great. He went in to school a little later so he could help the girls build a little snow man.

All 3 girls and dad and the snow man.  Devin deserves every ounce of their love for him. He is is a phenomenal dad and they know it.

Myla's Baby Blessing

Myla Avolene was blessed on Sunday the 3rd. Myla means love in Lithuanian. Her middle name is from her great grandmas- Avonelle Rappleye and Berlene Frampton. We had lots of family come and support her. She was given a beautiful blessing by her dad. The spirit was so powerful and we're so grateful to have so many worthy priesthood family members to participate in the blessing too.

We hung some curtains up around the carport and strung some lights that my mom had. I loved it. I think we might try it again in maybe September or June... it was a little chilly in November.

Good food and good company. 

We were so happy to be able to celebrate Myla with so many people that we love. It's such a blessing to have Myla's little spirit in our home all ready. We are so humbled that this little miracle is ours. We love you Myla Avolene!
