Airharts at the Zoo

Early October we had a zoo day with all the Utah Airharts. It was so much fun for all of us.

We got to be present during feeding time for the Lion. The lady made him work for his food and it was fun to watch.

The carousal ride was a huge hit with the kids. Cambry was so excited to ride the deer. 

Veena kept telling me- I'm so brave to ride by myself and not cry. haha she's hilarious.

Two of my favorite people in the world were here- Jacque and Steph. Steph is always invited to Airhart events, and I was so happily surprised to run into Jacque. It made a great day epic!

Conference Weekend

This is how general conference weekend started for us. We caught President Monson's talk while getting Cambry ready for soccer. Took Cambry to her game, then caught President Uchtdorf's talk on the car ride home. I also love that this capture Myla patting Cambry's face. She does that frequently to anyone that allows her to touch their face.

On Sunday, we listened to the morning session on the car ride up to Logan to visit my sister. This was our first time visiting them in Logan. So, in between session, they showed us around their neighborhood. Across the stream in their backyard is a city park and duck pond. So, we waddled over to feed some ducks.

After conference, Noelle and Cory served up a delicious dinner.

Afterwards, we roasted some mallows and made s'mores. We introduced my traditional family to non-traditional varieties of s'mores using kit-kats and Reeses.

One Last Bro Night

Devin here y'all. The weekend before my little bro, Derek, left on his mission. Neal, Derek and I got together for one last Bro night. The Beck gave me some free ticket to Comic-Con. So, we decide that we'd check it out. It did not disappoint. So many great costumes and display. Behind us in the pic below is bleachers set up for a regional amateur wrestling (like WWE wrestling) match. It was comical.

So apparently, I was into making creepy faces that night. (Spoiler Alert: more creepy faces to come)

Derek was in heaven. He loves dragons, especially Smaug.

Evermore, a new theme park in Pleasant Grove, had display at Comic-Con. We had long debate about whether this creepy monster was a costume or robot. It was that good. It creeped me out so much that I couldn't turn to look at the camera. Hence, another creepy face.

It was great fun and a perfect way to send Derek off on his mission. Miss you, Bro!

September Clean Up

A whole lot of good times in one post:

Early September we had a ward picnic dinner up at the Spruces (Big Cottonwood Canyon). The kids got to paint rocks for an activity.

After 2 years of talking about it, I finally cut my hair!

I love it. It's super short and super easy and I like the cut itself.

My wonderful, amazing Grandma Ber went to insta care because she had flu-like symptoms that she couldn't shake. They told her to go to the hospital. Turns out she had a soccer ball sized tumor on her ovary. We thought we would lose her. Miraculously, the tumor was removed and she's still with us for now. This is the day before her surgery.

The fam went to Grandma Avonelle Rappleye's to bring her dinner. After eating, Vienna and Cambry unloaded every stuffed animal in sight, and Vienna read them all a story.

Devin, Cambry and I played Uno Rumikub with Grandma. It was so much fun. We used to play this with her all the time when we were dating and Devin lived with Grandma.

Oh Myla. Now that she walks, she is EVERYWHERE! She threw her dinner everywhere, and while I was cleaning up that, she climbed up the stairs and unrolled a brand new double roll of toilet paper. Is it bed time yet??

The girls and I went over to the Ainas for a play date. Jessica got them all painting the shed with water and paint brushes. They had so much fun and it entertained them for 30 minutes!

Then all Vienna, Cambry, Maffers, Mikey, and Lyla took turns, standing in this tight single file line, zipping down this little roller coaster for 35 minutes. It was amazing!!! It's so great to have friends that all the kids and parents get along so well.

Devin has enjoyed many BYU football games in the stadium this season. Here he is with his bro Neal at the white out game.

Potty training take 2. Veena had 2 successes in 4 days. (I threw in the towel again since I seemed to be the only one in this duo that wanted it). After her first success she picked balloons out of the prize box and shared them with Cambry and Wells. We made kites out of them and they all had so much fun running around the yard.

These big sisters came storming into Myla's room when they heard her stirring, and scared the daylights out of her. Her face is hilarious.

Cambry brought a kite balloon on our walk. She was so happy about it. It's the little things...
This sight made me think- this is what childhood should be about. A spring in your step because life is so good.
