We have had an unusual amount of snow storms this year, uh like 3. We had a legit snow storm on Saturday with big snow flakes and packable snow that actually stuck.
I taught the girls all the snow playing essentials, like catching snow flakes on your tongue.
Cambry was a little hesitant, but Vienna was all in.
Another essential is rolling snowballs to make a snowman. Cambry did great. Vienna wouldn't keep her gloves and didn't like how cold the snow felt on her hands.
The finish product. Cambry installed an arm, an eye, the nose and one stick on the top of her head (no boy snowman should be caught wearing that beanie) that worked well for holding on her hat. Nice work.
A little side note: When Joslyn went into get Cambry up, Monday morning, she was out of bed and peering out window and said: "Hey, look there's the snowman. He's all dirty. He needs to take a bath."
We also had an ice storm blow through the last week of January. It covered everything and made these ice pedals with texture and all. Isn't science and nature amazing!
The girls had a good time peeling the ice pedals off and breaking off icicles
Yes, Cambry is still in her pajamas, but they are warm.
Some more impressive displays of nature.
I guess that we haven't had that hard of a winter. The girls are still able to frequently visit parks. We also were able to get a swing set! Our ward and friends helped us a lot in getting it and setting it up.
The kids love it.

I love that cute little girl snowman!!! And the pictures of your girls catching snowflakes on their tongues are to die for!!! That Vienna is such a doll! I can't believe our babies are getting so old. I'm getting baby hunger pains and Cory is thrilled, let me tell ya! ;)
ReplyDeleteOh I'm glad you guys have had fun winter weather. I love the catching snow flakes pictures. So cute, miss you guys!!
ReplyDeleteGirl snowMAN? Wouldn't that make it a snowwoman?
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting again! I can't get enough pics of the girls. More more more!
ReplyDeleteThe ice storm pics bring back memories of the ice storms we had living in Dallas. Gotta love 'em! Hope people were able to drive in it better than the people in Dallas.
