During the Christmas break, we went up to see the Olympic trials for ski jumping with Joslyn's sister, Jessica and her family. We had to park way far down the mountain. Everyone was walking up the road and every time the shuttle passed, it was packed full. So we saw this cat track right across the street from where we parked and took a chance, piled the kids in the sled and followed it.
What a woman!
It worked! We popped out not to far from this skier, Check out those skis!
There were all these booths set up and this sweet swiss alps band... if that's what you call a music group that has an accordion and alp horn in it.
They had a photo op with past Olympians. This guy was so great. He let our girls wear one of each of his medals (gold and silver). Cambry even let him hold her. He was a good sport. The little signs say "I look to _____ for inspiration."
Feel the rhythm! Feel the rhyme! Get on up, its bobsled time!
The main event.
Their hang time is completely incredible!
She is such an angel, slept most the time and hardly a peep.
Elmo even made a cameo.
Vienna decided that she wanted to try the luge. So, she (I) signed a waiver and we geared her up.
What a loaf!
At the end, she just laid there and stared back at these strangers until Joslyn made it down to her.
What a fun day on the slopes!

I love your girls in their snow gear. They are too cute! And we were cracking up about Vienna doing the luge. Coolest little girl ever! Loved her sitting motionless on the luge at the end until Joslyn came. Hahaha! And Joslyn looked like a total pioneer woman pulling three kids on a sled and one strapped to her. ;)
ReplyDeleteSeriously how cool is that! Not everyone gets to wear a real medal! Seriously-I'm so jealous of what a fun day that must have been!
ReplyDeleteFUN!! What the what why are you doing all of the work hauling all the girls up?? Thats what Devin is for!!
ReplyDeleteWow, I want to go next time. How fun!! Everything about it looks like a blast. The girls looked like they enjoyed themselves so much too!
