Marbles Museum

This museum is so fun.  I didn't take too many pics though.  Vienna's first time here and she had a good time, even though we didn't get to the baby stuff. huh. I guess only the oldest kid gets to play in the age appropriate areas.

Cambers loved making pizzas when older kids weren't standing too close.

I love this pic.  These are our neighbor friends.  Chase loves Vienna.  He was squeezing her face and gave her a big kiss.  His mom and I were laughing so hard we couldn't stop it. Doesn't Vienna look like wax??

The more we hang out with these cute boys, the more I can see the difference between boys and girls.  Cambry was so excited about making a tower "tall tall tall" and Chase was so excited to karate chop it down.  We had a great time here.

Cambry's Birthday

On Camber's Birthday, Joslyn took the girls to Pullen Park. During lunch, I was able to go down and join them since it's right by my school. Cambry got to ride in the boats - her favorite.

and swing in this super swing

Last time at the park, Cambry was terrified of the train. This time she asked to ride it. I'm not sure if she enjoyed it or not, but she didn't freak out. Joslyn and Vienna stayed on the sidelines and took pictures.

After the first train pic, I saw Joslyn booking it across the park with the stroller and all. Man, she was hauling. Alas, after all that effort, this was best Cambry would give her.

Cambry made a little friend at the park. They were so cute chasing each other around the playground. This was the first time that I saw Cambry recognize other kids at a park. It's fun seeing Cambry grow up and become more social.

When I got home, Cambry got to open presents. She was so excited about this book that plays music from her grandma Rappleye. Thanks, Mama! Look at that face.

We got her a quiet book for church. It might have been a bit early for her. She gets a little frustrated with some of the activities. Well, at least she is being challenged.

More presents from Grandma Rapp. She is opening a little puzzle board which she is really good at.

We found this sweet picnic table and sand table (in the background) at a garage sale.

Both Cambry and Vienna loved it.

Joslyn made this awesome Elmo cake. Of course, Cambry loved it.

Cambry wasn't so sure about fire being on the cake.

With a little 'persuasion', Cambry eventually tried to blow the candles out.

It's been fun to see Cambry enjoy her presents. She has been really good about sharing them with Vienna.

Her water table is her favorite present and she plays with it every day.  Look at this happy child!  Thanks Grandma Beck! We started having her wear her rain coat to keep her clothes dry.

Happy Birthday Cambers

Our Cambry girl is officially 2 today!  She is such a hilarious child.  She loves being the entertainer (at home, not in front of others), she runs everywhere she can.  She is so smart and can read emotions really well. She knows most shapes, letters, numbers 0-9, colors.  She learns on the go and has mastered most of these on road signs, licence plates, mailboxes, etc. She is particularly interested in spotting school buses, fire trucks, trains, airplanes, flowers, fire hydrants, trucks, flags, and teddy bears. She is a Daddy's girl through and through.  She loves Vienna, Elmo, nursery, bubbles, puddles, boats, her blanket and teddy bear, pizza, being tickled, and pushing Vienna in the stroller around the neighborhood. Her reset button without fail is going outside.

She loves trying out what she sees me doing.  Here are a few examples:
feeding Vienna (so sorry Vienna- it's the only time we ever let her try!)

dressing her bear (many times throughout the dayshe's changing her bear's diapers or nursing it. haha).

clipping her bunny's finger nails

Putting makeup on... I let her have some old eye shadow, and I was curious to see what she'd do with it, so I let her have at it.

And she's potty training her bunny... she's lost interest in using the potty herself. We'll pull it out again in a few months.

Here she is eating her first potty treat.

Cambry loves her "Nana". Vienna is the only one that is allowed to get close to her for extended periods of time.  Not even Daddy has this privilege.

We love you Cambry!  We love your silliness, your passion, your desire to help, your project mode, your energy, your happy giggle, your innocence and purity. Thank you for 2 wonderful years!

The Strawberry Patch

On evening after school, we went to pick some strawberries at patch by our house. Cambry was a natural at it. She would pick the strawberry and actually put it in the bucket.

Vienna picked some leaves and tried real hard to eat them too.

The girls - best picks in the patch.

About halfway through, we told Cambry that she can eat some while she picks. Every strawberry she picked from then on end up in her mouth.

Vienna was more interested in eating the hay.

The lighting was so great. So, Joslyn tried snapping a few photos of Vienna, but she was too tired to perform.

Cambry didn't want to be left out. So, she worked her way into the photo shoot. I love the strawberry juice all over her face.

After all that picking, the girls weren't great models - this is the best we got.

Living Life

Here's a little more every day stuff.  My little suckers. It's tiring business!

V's the little puppy that chews on everything

C in her element: leaves and rocks

I forgot babies can start sitting up about 5 months.  Devin tried it out a few weeks ago and she sat for over a minute.  She didn't love it one bit.

A little water fun

Cambry is obsessed with buckles, snaps, clasps, etc.  She realized that diapers connect together, and loves investigating.  I didn't put V's pants back on her after changing her and I left her unattended for 90 seconds.  When I came back I saw her diaper in the doorway... Then Vienna.  REALLY??  It was my Elder Wirthlin "Come What May and Love IT" moment.  He said "The next time you're tempted to groan, you might try to laugh instead. It will extend your life and make the lives of all those around you more enjoyable."

Walks, apples, and Cambry are really good friends

After C woke up, I stuck V in her crib for a little sister time.  C started piling all her friends on V.  I told Cambers- Not on Veena's eyes or mouth.  Nice Work Cambers.

V trying to swallow a train.  She rolled across the entire room to catch it.  She's mastered her roll.

Baking with Daddy

Each morning Cambry stands by our front window and waves bye to Daddy as he pedals away. Cambry loves this morning ritual and I can tell Devin loves it too.

I'm doing P90X work outs a few times a week during V's morning nap.  Cambry does it with me... kind of. I've learned that it doesn't work to well with the mat.  haha.  I have a new level of respect for fit moms.
