Weekend Fun

Friday I had Vienna on my lap and I look down and she had quietly EXPLODED out of her diaper.  I mean I couldn't stand up because I didn't want the pools of mustard to get on the carpet.  So I squat walk into the bathroom and throw us both in the bathtub- clothes and all.  Cambry thought this meant it was time to blow bubbles, since the bubbles were in the bathtub too.  As I'm trying to do damage control she's having a meltdown saying "Bubbles" in different octaves and volumes.  20 minutes later we're finally mustard free, diapered (her not me), and dressed (me not her) , and on the deck blowing bubbles.

She's happy

And she's happy

Friday Girls Night:
My friend Vania and I decided it was time to get a bunch of women together.  She said it would be low key.  My assignment: bring plastic silverware and cookies.  Hmm... pretty even right?

We had SUCH a good time!  We had all ages show up and we told some hairy embarrassing stories, and we all laughed until we cried.  It was definitely a success.  Women need each other. I realized I'm not in any of the pics though.  whoops!

Saturday lunch: Devin serenading our girls

Park Time:  I made Devin take the day off.  We do projects on our new house every spare hour lately, and I NEED TO PLAY DANG IT!! So here we are playing.

Sunday Afternoon:
We have had afternoon church for over a year (who's bitter??). Today was stake conference.  The stars aligned and we all took an afternoon nap and went for a family walk to a little lake by our house (excuse C's nap/hat hair). Here is C just spotting the lake.

This little girl makes this big girl quite happy

Cambers sucking thumb lake side,

chasing stray dogs,

and throwing rocks in the lake with dad. All in all an excellent weekend.

  1. I wish our weather was as nice as yours so we could go play at the park! Actually we had a pretty nice day today, but it was a Monday and there was work to be done. I did get outside and worked on pruning the fruit trees.
