Cambry and Vienna love playing together. Cambry loves to be spun and pushed in the office chair. One night, she climbed on the office chair and patted the spot right next to her for Vienna to sit there. Now, she won't spin or be pushed without Vienna.
Around the corner from where we live, there's this house that is about as deep south and red neck as you can get with a Confederate flag, 2-liter soda bottle tree and a lot of other goodness.
Cambry has been becoming more and more social with other toddlers. It's so fun to watch her goofy personality come out in front of other people. Recently, we dropped her off to be baby sat by a family in the ward. Their daughter has had a hard time with nursery and playing with other kids. By the time we got back, they were good buddies. That was really special for me to see how Cambry is able to reach out like that.
Sorry for the little tangent there, but these next few photos just got me thinking about Cambers social development. Anyway, here are a couple photos of Cambry playing with her friend Caroline.
Cambry loved to push, but hated being pushed
"Oh, the hood is open. I'll put my head in it." Sometimes, I just wish I knew what she was thinking.
When we first moved here, the backyard was a disaster. It was pile of dead leaves, fallen tree branches, a couple of failed garden attempts and a mess. We cleared out some room for a yard and planted some seeds. A couple weeks ago, a bunch of little sprouts had come in.
Now, the grass is coming in full force. There is something oddly satisfying with making things grow. It reminds of Elder Uchtdorf's words:
"The desire to create is one of the deepest yearnings of the human soul. No matter our talents, education, backgrounds, or abilities, we each have an inherent wish to create something that did not exist before.
Everyone can create. You don’t need money, position, or influence in order to create something of substance or beauty."
It's so true. If there is one thing that our backyard teaches us, it's that anybody can create.
Joslyn mowed the lawn for the first time in 10 years. In the RAIN
The kids got a good kick out of watching their mom mow the lawn
How can you not love this face!
Cambry is becoming quite the good little helper. Here she is helping mom clean up the front yard.
She got a little distracted playing with leaves.
Vienna is becoming quite refined by moving up from bottles to sippy cups.
Love this girl!
Apparently Cambry has been missing here old car seat.
Guess who went in the potty for the first time?
Don't let this fool you. She's still a long way out. We just set the potty out for her to get used to the idea. She has gone in the potty a couple times, but we aren't making a real effort at potty training.

CAmbry sticking her head in the hood looks like she inherited Devin's curiosity :) oh my gosh I can't stand how cute your girls are!!!! thanks so much for posting! and good work creating a lawn!
