We started potty training Cambry the day after Labor Day, so we spent LOTS of time outside. Both girls were completely overjoyed about it. We rotated all day between the sand table and water table.
V is getting better at keeping some things out of her mouth. She just can't help herself though when she sees an acorn. Those are her favorite.
Cambry's outfit of choice- rain jacket to stay dry up top throughout the splashing in the water, underwear, and rainboots. Potty training- 3 weeks later... she can tell us when she needs to go and we haven't had an accident in almost 2 weeks. We're able to be out and about in public wearing pants and all. She is loving all the potty treats. I started giving her double treats when she goes in the big potty. That sly fox knows how to maximize her amount of potty treats. She does a little job, collects her potty treats, then 2 minutes later goes back for a big job. No complaints here.
Although Cambry loves her rain boots, she forgets that she can't move as easily in them. She fell down our deck stairs and got a sweet shiner from it. It was such a sad puffy eye.
I finally figured out how to cook dinner without kids crying at my ankles. They are so happy playing in the sink together and seeing the sights they can't see at sub 3 feet.
Doesn't she have the cutest Dora bum? I'm realizing how puffy her bum was with a diaper. Most of her shorts and pants slide off of her now.
Vienna books it into Cambry's room, climbs up on her bead and sticks her head through the ladder and screams until someone comes to see her. She is such a goof.
Rough day at church I guess. They had a little sisterly snuggle before naps.

yay for potty training.... I am terrified of it. and I love Cam's hair in all of the ponytails - too cute!!
ReplyDeleteyay, way to go Cambry!!! Way to be easy! So happy for you guys! Potty training is the best when it goes smoothly! That picture of Vienna with an acorn in her mouth is so Devin, in so many ways! One, she looks just like him and two, Devin would always put things in his mouth!!!! Like even when he was 14, 15, 16...Hahaha! I remember Derek yelling at Devin to get his (Derek's) toys out of his mouth!! LOL!
ReplyDeleteYeah for potty training:) girls are so smart !! That is always my favorite when they ditch the diaper and they have those cute bums covered in undies! Can't wait to see them!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of sticking the kids in the sink! Although my sink is perpetually full to the brim of dirty dishes... Fortunately, Libby likes to stand on a chair next to the sink and "help" me wash dishes.
