Vienna's 1st Birthday

Our little Veena Bug turned one on the 14th.  She is such a sweetheart and is constantly making me laugh.  Her favorite hobbies include playing with all the bath toys while Cambry is using the potty (she LOVES being where the party is), climbing, eating, pulling hair (she has a REALLY strong grip- poor Cambers is the brunt of that most frequently), turning toys on that make music and dancing to the song.  She loves making sounds or noises, and is so completely delighted when we echo the noise back to her. She's really good at mimicking elephants.  She loves waving, clapping, doing twinkle twinkle little star hand motions, pointing, high fives (especially while on the park swings), blowing kisses, "So big" (reaching her arms up above her head), shaking her head no, leaning her head on her shoulder from side to side (the top of her head almost touches her elbow- I love baby proportions!) and splashing water.  She recently picked up walking!!  She can walk through our entire house by herself.  She is becoming more steady and her endurance is expanding.  She is still working on balance and standing up on her own  without holding on to anything.

She is in the 75th percentile in height, weight, and head.  What a perfectly proportioned baby!

Recently she does this open mouthed-closed eyes face when I smile at her or  the camera is around.  What a ham. Here she is enjoying the Birthday cards she got!  Thanks to all who sent one!

She loved her Birthday presents.  We shamelessly re-gifted toys that we put in our attic months ago to limit clutter and over stimulation (maybe we'll give them the current attic toys for Christmas haha).

She doesn't seem to care.  She and Cambers had a blast playing with all these "new" toys.

She loved having free reign at ripping all this wrapping paper. She also loved the presents inside.  Thanks Grandma for the gifts!!

New wardrobe from a local garage sale.  Seriously such good finds!

What a happy girl! She comes into Veena's room early in the morning, pulls this off the shelf to play with it, and comes back to it periodically throughout the day.

Although this girl likes almost everything I cook, I made some pizza for her Birthday dinner and she pounded it like a teenage boy.

I made bug cup cakes.  All day Cambry was asking me for one, then she'd say to herself- eat them tonight for Nina's Happy Day.

We couldn't sing to her fast enough

She ate every last bite

And wiped her hands in her hair.  She is so fast at doing this (we've found that yogurt makes great hair gel).
Happy Birthday Vienna!  You have warmed our hearts and quickened our pulse with all the adventures you take us on.  We are an incomplete family without you.
