When it started warming up, Jess took charge to plan an adventure up Milcreek canyon on the Pipeline trail with Airhart women and children. What a great way to celebrate May the 4th! We have a lot of little kids between me, Cristy, Jess, Michelle, and Margaret! Thank heavens for Grandma Beck to give us all a hand as needed.
Supermom Margaret carrying both Gweny and Watson
Cambry used her wand to cast spells on all of us.
Our little polka dot queen with her snack of choice- cheese.
Veena picked a bouquet of dandelions for me. What a little sweetheart.
What a great bunch of women I'm related to!
Just a couple of super heroes joining our party for a bit.
Just exploring nature
Cinco de Mayo we had a little neighborhood block party. This crew- Jessica and Colby Broadbent, Maddy and Darren Corey, (not pictured: Jamey and Michelle Airhart, Jordan and Margaret Airhart) is really such a FUN crew. We all have a few kids, and really enjoy each other so much. We know this little Utopia won't last, and we're so glad we have this fun little neighborhood.
The kids getting their festivities up for Cinco de Mayo in the Play house.
Devin received his PhD degree in Metallurgy Engineering from the University of Utah on May 6th. This is such a huge accomplishment for him and we're so proud of him.
Mike Simpson on the right was his adviser, and presented his certificate to him.
Receiving his superhero cape
That's a great looking genious right there.
Devin's fan club
Vienna happy to wear her newest costume
Cambry thinking about enjoying this experience, hehe
Devin got to show his dad and mom and the kids his lab where he conducted his experiments.
You're welcome babe 😉
Walking through campus the girls found lots of places to play. I love how that the world is their playground.
Here are a few every day pictures. Cambry's spooky face
Myla feeding her cousin Andrew
Just an evening out back on the tramp with cousins and uncle Jamey and Uncle Jordan tickle monsters.
Devin and the Elder's Quorum did a service project for a ward member digging a sprinkler system and putting up fence posts.
Farm days at Thanksgiving point. We have an annual pass here, and there are so many things to do. Regardless of where we go- one of the museums, or the gardens, etc we usually end the outing riding ponies.
Here's another outing during the tulip festival. The gardens here are so beautiful and expansive. If only our littles' legs could last all day exploring them all!
Myla loved this "cow". It has brown spots on the side, and whenever we come here, she asks if she can ride the cow.
Tractor rides around the farms for these city folk are so exciting.
Here's a time we went to the Museum of Curiosity at Thanksgiving point. Myla loved the water works section where she could splash and build and tear down as much as she wanted.
Cambry was in total project mode and could barely look up for a photo. With all the pipes and hoses and connectors to hook up to each other, there's little time for such trivial things like picture taking.
Vienna found a way she could be in charge and make loud noises by finding the... water breakers?? And of course she found a friend to giggle with.
One place we've loved in kidopolis is the dress up and stage station. C, V, and M have performed in many pirate ships, circuses, and forests on this stage.
One hot night we came down town Salt Lake to City Creek to play in the splash pads.... Only to find out they aren't turned on until memorial day... Playing in the fountains was a great plan B.
Brinton frequently takes his blankets and puts them right over his face, defying all laws of nature- by not needing oxygen to survive.
For Cambry's 6th Birthday we had both sets of grandparents over for dinner. It was so fun to come together to celebrate Cambry.
She got the game pie face, which is like Russian Roulette with whip cream. Unfortunately it caused as many tears as it did laughs, and wasn't as big of a hit as we hoped.
Cambry is such a sweet, happy, soft spoken, kind hearted girl. She has wisdom beyond her years, and is eager to learn. She asks lots of questions, and is a wonderful big help for me with Brinton. She loves all things princess. She likes riding her bike, playing with Vienna and friends, and creating "master pieces". We love you Cambry!
Cool Cats cooling out in the shade of the tree with a delicious cold treat.
It warms this mama's heart when I stumble upon moments like this where my children are exemplifying Christ's love with each other.
Oh Myla. One time I was upstairs nursing Brinton, and Myla just comes rolling in on her cousin's big wheel, that she just lugged up the stairs in our car port and up the stairs in the house. Sometimes I just want to be inside her brain to take a look at what is going on in there. hehehe
Brinton's first hair cut. His cute hair got quite patchy, and it was time for a change. Thank heavens for Cambry to help him giggle his way through this experience.
Devin took Cambry and Vienna on a cousin outing at Boondox. Whenever we have a new baby, we have to take things so much slower for awhile. I was so glad Devin got to take the girls out to do something without moving at a snail's pace.
Vienna loves finding sitting places to pose wherever we go.
Poor Cambry- always cold... like her mama.
hack putting is more fun with cousins.
Lance taking it upon himself to give the kids some free lessons along the way.
The kids said the go carts were loud and fast and fun.
Memorial Weekend, we got to celebrate Grandma Avonell Rappleye for her 90 something Birthday, with cousins, food and fun.
Happy Birthday Grandma!
I love this picture of Myla. It is so typical Myla. She's got her booboo blanket that she never goes anywhere without, she's got a bandaid on her nose for no reason at all- in fact she doesn't like band aids on when she actually needs them. She has her Elsa water bottle that is her cup of choice. She's clutching the crackers- everybody in our family groans when Myla is in charge of the crackers. We have to really want one to try to get one, because Myla is very possessive of her circle crackers and rarely shares them, and fights and screams when anyone tries to take one.
In nature, Myla is a lot more calm. It speaks to her soul.
Cambry's photo smile seems like she's in pain, so I am so excited when I get a genuine smile documented. Her smiles light up my heart.
The Sunday before Memorial Day, the Rappleyes always go to Grandpa Foster Rappleye's grave, an sing a ton of hymns and have a little devotional. We were so glad we got to go this year.
Brinton can give the best smiles and giggles. He is such a good baby.
I love finding little things like this around the house. Our girls' imaginations are going nonstop- and it's so great to stumble on remnants of a game.
Memorial Day Morning we went on a hike with the Ainas. We love this family so much. They have 4 kids with similar ages to our kids, and they all get along really well.
Veena posing with her leaves.
Me and Jess with most of the kids.
Devin packing Brinton, and that view!!! So beautiful
