My whole life I heard about Timpanogos Cave and never visited it. I decided, why not now? So i reserved us a spot, and on the designated day, packed us all up and we drove our mini van full of snacks, head lamps, and kids to Utah County.
When we got to the parking lot, Devin dropped us off and went to park the car. I had all 4 kids zipping around me, and I ran into my cousin, Miki Carlson, who just finished the hike with her family. She looked at me with panic in her eyes, and asked me if I was doing this all alone with all my littles. That this hike was no joke! I began to doubt the soundness of my decision to hike this with so many small humans, but we did it, and we loved it- even if we took lots of breaks along the trail, and carried someone most of the way back down.
Here we are, jackets on, headlamps ready, just about to go in to the cave.
Little blury, but Devin did his best to keep the top half of him motionless so Brinton could sleep... which made for some very interesting waddling and squat walking through low passage ways and stairwells.
These guys loved so much being in control of their light, and having their hands free.
Sweet boy, back asleep.
Little explorers on top of the world. They are such little mountain goats and I'm so proud of them for their endurance.
Those Mountains are so beautiful., and this hillside is soo steep!!
All warmed back up in the sunshine, and naturally Myla's shoes are off, ready to make our descent.
Couples that Hike together, Blister together. ;)
These kids are awesome- not just doing the difficult hike, but going up and down a bunch of side off the trail paths. The world is their playground.
