October 2016

Cambry did my hair, and got very creative with all the items she could attach to my head.

Cute Vienna up a tree whenever possible.

The girls often ride horses at Thanksgiving Point, but this time Brinton took a couple turns around the pasture. 😉

Inside the Children's museum of curiosity, an employee had a station set up we've never seen- marble works, where they could build a marble tower. Cambry and Myla stayed here for 20 minutes, building, and rebuilding.

The kids and I got to tour the Bishop's store house. We got to see cheese being made, chocolate milk being mixed, and where all the bread was baked. Everyone whole heartedly approved of their work as we got to sample everything.

We toured a place where emergency supplies were gathered, and these cute girls got to practice giving out care packages to each other.

Just hanging out, being cute. apparently clothing is optional.

October Sunday dinner with all the cousins.

Brinton wants some cake too!

When tools and toys combine... Cambry and Vienna discovered that many of their toys have screws in them, and naturally they worked hard to put their tools and motor skills to work to disassemble them. What great helpers... We got all the toys put back together, and somehow ended up with several extra screws. They were probably unnecessary...

Brinton came with Devin and I as we flew to California to house shop. We toured 5 houses, put offers on 3, and got the 3rd house, that was way out of our price range, but God provided with kind sellers, and intelligent and helpful agents and lenders.

Brinton's new trick- tucking his blanket into his mouth while he sleeps..

Brinton's 9 month Dr. appointment. He's off the charts on everything- he's a big boy! Such a happy, squishy guy, that we all love. He woke up on the morning of family pictures with this swollen eye. Poor guy. And classic!! The doc said he seemed to be fine, and it went away in a week.

Devin and I ran the South Jordan half marathon in costume. Devin as Waldo, and me as... what, little Bo Peep? It's what the thrift store had. Running is costume is always better.

We forgot to tell Noelle to grab a costume too, but the 3 of us all had a great race together.

Where's Waldo?

These girls are always in costume. The costume box is one of our most valuable possessions. They're part of most games, grocery store outings, lunches, and bike rides. Brinton is still trying to not be smothered by all the lacey, jeweled, sequiny, feathery things his sisters keep putting on him.

The kids and I went to Witchfest at Gardner Village a few times- with our favorite neighborhood friends- the Coreys- Maddy, Ruby, Jonny, Mae, and Gemma, and then again with the Rappleye cousins. It is such a festive, fun place to be in the fall.

Brinton loving the pumpkin cookies!

Vienna loving snuggles from Sofie and witches.

The whole crew- the Rowes, Jorgensens, Mondragons, and us.

A quick delicious snuggle from my little guy. Love him forever.

We went to a pumpkin patch with Devin's sister Aimee and her son Roki. We love this pumpkin patch. Mater from Cars is a great friend to meet here on the farm.

We had a bumpy happy time on the hay ride. These little guys are so fun to take on things like that. They are so filled with wonder and excitement, while sitting in a trailer driving around the block on dirt roads. Childhood is wonderful.

The corn maze- these guys are so good, they didn't even need to open their eyes to find their way out.

Noelle got all the Rappleye cousins together for  spooky Halloween house decorating. What a party! cousins, bowls of candy all over the place, and no one stopping them from taking them for now, and gluing them to their structure for later! Life is so so good!

Grandma and Grandpa Rappleye took all the Rappleyes on a Carribean cruise! We were more than obliged to be apart of creating memories on the ship with the fam. But first we had to get there.... Loaded with snacks, activities, and toys, we were ready to fly!

Thankfully Uncle Neal flew us to give us more hands on deck. We are all so grateful for him.

I was praying for weeks that our kids would be ok on the flights. They did great!! I even got to read a little bit with no one needing something!!

These girls were so excited to sit by Uncle Neal, and he was so fun and patient with them.

Myla was so excited to play with things she's never played with, eat things she normally doesn't eat, she was even ok doing something she normally doesn't do- sitting relatively still!!

We made it to Miami Florida, and as soon as we got aboard the ship, we took care of the priorities. We ate at the Windjammer Buffet...

(All filled up!)

We looked around and explored the ship...

We swam in the pool...

We got the first of many ice cream cones...

We jumped on the bungy trampolines... And then we did it all again, and again and again!!

We all loved the towel animals that the cleaning staff provided for us every time they cleaned our rooms. Myla kept them like they were her little friends.

Our first port was Nassau, Bahamas. It was a beautiful, windy day, and we were all high spirits.

We got the whole Rappleye family in for a photo. Although I don't have the whole group shot, we got one of just our little family.

Myla posing by the dock cleat. ❤❤

That's our Ship- Enchantment of the Seas

While we waited for other family to show up for the family photo, we flew kites, and played games on the dock with each other.

What a happy little beauty

All Charlie and Cathy's kids.

Beach Time!!

It's amazing how fun a few buckets and pleathera of silly humans can be. Devin's man made tide pool is always a kid favorite.

After hours of sand and water, we were all ready for some delicious food served right to us.
It was a dress up night, and we rose to the occasion. So nice to clean up and go out!

It was name that song, and Scott knew all the songs by like 2 notes in that were Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, etc. They asked him to sing one of the songs. He got up and held the mic, before he got stage fright, and declined the solo.

The 4 trouble makers 2 and 3 year old trouble makers.

Pirate night for the kids. There's Cambry in the blue and white striped dress in the middle. It was so darn cute. They came out singing pirate songs, and chanting pirate sayings.

Vienna in the yellow in the back row.

Brinton loving his life. Passed out gnawing on cherrios till he can't stay awake any longer. haha

The kids getting excited for another day on land. We were coming up on the Key West Port.

Anchors away!

These Banyan trees are so darn cool! We definitely gave them a Rappleye stamp of approval.

Cutest beach wale that's ever been stuck on this beach, I'm sure.

The sand was so fine and soft. Myla, Sofie, and Brinton kept burying their appendages and pulling them out, just to feel that soft exfoliation.

Rappleye Brothers pulling out their guns on the beach, in front of all the kids- the kids were terrified!!

I took little man in the ocean with me. He wasn't as impressed as I hoped he would be.

Mi Amor 💗

Watch out for the Jelly fish here! they're especially grabby here!

Cambry is in her element, and happy to be alive!

"Just eating dinner with my favorite guy. Oh and my mom's here too."

💜💜💜

Last night of the cruise, all the kids were in the kid area till way too late, and the adults played the name game and ate the most delicious crepes. It was such a memorable trip, we are so blessed to be able to do such fun things with such wonderful people.

Easing back into real life- carving pumpkins and celebrating Halloween.

It's autumn time! It's autumn time, the leaves are falling down.

Happy Halloween Spot!

We have a ballerina, Cinderella, and a bride. They're so girly, and I love it.

Halloween Day we went to Hansen Planetarium and lifted off into space for a bit. Brinton touched down on Mars.

The girls drove rovers around on Mars.

And experimented with temperatures of different planets. It was out of this world.

We trick or treated with the Coreys around the neighborhood and had a wonderful time together picking up loot. Happy Halloween!
