C only feels included in our scripture study if she has her book too. I have mixed feelings about her trashing a BOM as she "reads" it.

When Devin is here, Monday- Friday we start out our walk by walking him to the bus stop so he can get to campus (We missed having that stop this week). Since we live on the 3rd floor, I always keep the stroller in our trunk. At the end of our walk, I stand Cambry in the trunk while I fold up the stroller. Once I thought this might not be too humane, and I set her on the ground.... The tantrum she threw about not getting her turn in the trunk. For some reason, she is happy in the trunk!

Tuckered out after church

So happy about pasta

This is what C does when the terrain is over her head and needs a hand to get out.

She loves going up and down the stairs more than going down the slides.
I thought it would be a good idea to relax in the gazebo at the lake. Cambry thought it a better idea to march back and forth on the bench, setting the water bottle, snacks and Tigger in different spots for 3 second increments. She' definitely the Energizer Bunny.
Blowing a Kiss

I almost walked right into this web with a spider as big as Cambry's fist. I get the heebee geebees just thinking about it.
So after a regular week of baby Einstein, going to story time at the library, parks, the pool, playgrounds, the museum, the pet store to poke animals, etc with no adult evenings, Friday night I decided I needed to treat myself. I went to REI and just walked around for an hour and a half. I still had Cambry with me and still chased her around, but it didn't matter where I was in that store. Every corner and every aisle is heaven. I didn't even buy anything, but felt so rejuvenated when I left.
Hurricane Emily came through about 4 am this morning. Which meant it rained really hard. After breakfast at 7, it was
still raining, and I thought- why not? let's start out the day soaked. Cambry was hyperventilating the whole time she was so excited.

When we got back inside, I started the water for a bath for C, and went to change my soggy clothes. I get back to the bathroom and she has an armful of stuffed animals she was ready to bathe. Only one made it in the water before I could stop her, the goof.
We've had a great week, but we're really excited for Devin to get home tonight.
You're such a good mom!! I'm glad you've stayed busy and happy while Devin's been gone. She is so cute! I'm getting more and more excited to be there in Sept!
ReplyDeleteCute post! I love all the pics of Cambry doing her thing! Enjoy these last few weeks of just the two of you! Having two is the best, but I sure did enjoy my time of just one on one with Lily! It'll never be the same again, and thats in a good way too!
