Sara flew into town on the same day that the state fair started. So, naturally, we had to take her to the fair.
Cambry was in heaven seeing all the animals
There was a cute little sink, just her size, for her to wash up in when we got out of the nasty barns (the sink doesn't look much better).
Cambry danced at her first hoedown. There was this sweet bluegrass band playing and Cambry never passes up a good dance beat. She has some serious ups.
This one is for my Dad - tractor engine powered ice cream makers. I can just see something like this set up in the backyard.
We had to try out some fried Oreos which surprisingly are really good. I just thought that eating them would be like eating spoonfuls of shortening or something.
The fair was so packed by late afternoon. You could not walk a step without bumping into someone. We waited in a really long line to ride this Ferris Wheel. We thought that it was the best suited ride for our crew which included 2 babies.
It actually turned out to be a great ride for us. At first, Cambry was too sure about it, but after realizing all the awesome things she could see from the top she was loving it.
North Carolina's version of the big yellow slide. I waxed all the little kids and my sister
It was a fun day at the fair and it was great to have Sara with us. Vienna just slept through the whole thing. Cambry had ample amount of things to keep her busy and never got lost... for too long. It definitely helped having an extra pair of eyes on the look out.
How fun! wE love THE FAIR! Fun to have visitors!
ReplyDeleteLove the dancing! I hope you had tickets this time and didn't have to sneak in!
ReplyDeleteYou guys are great hosts! If someone came to visit me that soon after having a baby i would be like, thanks for coming, the dishes are piling up and the laundry needs folding. Get to work! Lol! I'm kidding, but I probably wouldn't dare go to the fair!
