I can't believe this beautiful baby is so old! We love our little Veena bug. She is currently exploring the house via army crawl. She's so efficient at it I wonder if she'll ever take to crawling on her hands and knees. She is a little scavenger, making me work extra hard to keep our floors clean since she can find a microscopic lint ball on a floor I just swept/vacuumed. She has eaten sand, flowers, postage stamps, scriptures, tissues, cheerios off the church floor that weren't hers, and leaves. I guess I'm slowly letting go of some of my anal germaphobia because the facts don't lie- she's still healthy as can be.
She always wants to be moving, and is already showing signs of her excellent climbing abilities. She gets this laser focus eye lock and there is no obstacle too big to climb over to get what she wants. (Devin pointed this out to me just after he'd mentioned that he forgot to eat lunch today because he was so focused on his research, he lost track of the time... wonder where Vienna gets that focus...) She just started pulling herself up into standing position and is quite proud of herself. When she is cruising along the couches, sometimes she gets that laser stare and forgets that she needs to hold on to the couch to keep her balance.
Although she isn't "calm" and relaxed like she was before she figured out how great it is to be on the go, she still has a peaceful presence that can appease us collectively and individually. She softens discouragement, lessens anxiety, disperses tension, shortens temper tantrums, and enriches the spirit of love in our home. We love you Vienna. We are blessed you picked us to be your family!
Vienna's Stats:
77th percentile in weight and height
Those pics really did make her look so grown up!!! Miss you all!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe she is nine months old and crawling. CRAZY how fast time goes by. I'm glad Ryker was slow to be on the move and would LOVE if this baby is the same way.
